Independent by design

We help the funeral profession choose cremation equipment with clarity and confidence.

Our mission

Cremation Equipment is an independent, international comparison website for cremation technology. We help funeral home directors, human and pet crematory operators, funeral groups, municipalities and entrepreneurs understand the market and choose equipment with confidence. We believe better information leads to better crematoria: more efficient, cleaner, safer for staff and more dignified for families.

Independence and editorial policy

We do not manufacture, sell or distribute cremation equipment. Manufacturers cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher or to influence our descriptions. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources such as manufacturer websites, industry publications, trade fairs and regulatory information. Where we are uncertain, we say so, and we encourage buyers to verify all specifications directly with suppliers.

If we introduce sponsorship or advertising in the future, it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content and rankings.

Our methodology

Selection: we aim to list every manufacturer of human cremators, pet cremators, water cremation systems, cremulators and filtration we can identify. Inclusion never depends on payment; we only need evidence that a company actively supplies equipment.

Comparison: every profile uses the same fields — country, region, technology coverage, energy options, markets and strengths — compiled from public sources such as manufacturer websites, trade fairs and regulatory information. Comparisons show what each company offers, not a ranking.

Funding: Free for buyers. We may receive a fee from manufacturers when an introduction leads to a quotation. This never affects our editorial comparisons.

Updates: we review profiles when manufacturers or readers send corrections and when we find new sources. Specifications change, so always confirm current models directly with suppliers.

Corrections: use our contact form to send corrections or a missing manufacturer, and we will review every submission.

How we compile the directory

We aim to include every manufacturer of human cremators, pet and animal cremators, water cremation systems, cremulators, filtration and related equipment worldwide. For each company we record country, technology coverage, energy options, markets served and a neutral summary. We update information when manufacturers or users send corrections and when we find new sources.

The directory is growing. If you know a manufacturer we have missed, particularly in Asia, Latin America, Africa or Eastern Europe, we would be grateful to hear about it.

Sprachen

English is our main language, and our full buying guides are written in English. We publish introductory pages in German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and we are expanding translated content over time.

Who we serve

Our readers include independent funeral homes in North America considering an on-site retort, municipal crematoria in Europe planning renewals with abatement and heat recovery, pet aftercare businesses expanding capacity, funeral groups harmonising equipment across sites, and newcomers who want to start a crematorium. Each audience has different priorities, and we try to address them all with practical, neutral guidance.

A note on sensitivity

Cremation is a service to grieving families. While this site focuses on technology, we never lose sight of the people it serves. Throughout our guides we highlight dignity, identification, transparency and family experience alongside efficiency and cost. Good equipment is ultimately about enabling respectful care.

Disclaimer

Information on this site is general and for guidance only. It is not legal, engineering or financial advice. Regulations differ by country and region and change over time. Always consult relevant authorities and qualified advisers, and confirm details with manufacturers before making decisions.

Contact and corrections

Manufacturers, distributors and operators are welcome to submit corrections, new listings or feedback. Accuracy is central to our purpose, and we review every submission. We are especially interested in hearing from operators willing to share real-world experience with energy use, reliability and service, which helps other buyers make better decisions.

Our principles

  • Neutrality: every manufacturer is described using the same structure and tone.
  • Transparency: we explain how information is gathered and where it may be incomplete.
  • Practicality: we focus on the questions buyers actually need answered.
  • Respect: we remember that cremation serves grieving families.
  • Global perspective: we cover manufacturers and regulations from every region.

How buyers use this site

A typical visitor arrives with a specific question, such as whether electric cremation suits their volumes or which suppliers offer water cremation in their region. From there, they explore our guides, browse the directory, compare a few manufacturers side by side and finally use the tender builder to request proposals. Throughout, we try to make each step clear and to surface the considerations that are easy to overlook, such as service response times, refractory costs and future emission limits.

We hope this saves buyers time, reduces risk and ultimately contributes to better crematoria worldwide. If you have suggestions for improving the site, we would be glad to hear them.
